Dr. Reiko Kuroda, Member of UN Secretary-General Scientific Advisory Board, Featured in New Issue of Global Leadership Dialogues

GLD KurodaThe Center for Governance and Sustainability has published a new issue of the Global Leadership Dialogues featuring Dr. Reiko Kuroda, one the world’s leading chemists.

Dr. Kuroda is a professor at the Research Institute for Science and Technology at Tokyo University of Science and professor emeritus at the University of Tokyo. She is also a leading policymaker both in Japan and globally. Dr. Kuroda was a member of the Committee for Realizing a Gender-Equal Society, the Council for Science and Technology Policy (CSTP), and vice president of the International Council for Sciences (ICSU). She has received numerous prestigious awards for her exceptional work, especially in the fields of chemistry and biology. Her awards include the 2013 L’Oréal-UNESCO Award For Women in Science and the Prime Minister’s Commendation for Efforts Toward the Formation of a Gender-Equal Society in 2014 for her work in promoting equality for women scientists.

She is also one of the member of the UN Secretary-General’s Scientific Advisory Board along with our Director, Maria Ivanova.
