Maria Ivanova to Participate in Side Event on Climate Resilience during COP21 Meeting in Paris

hoarecMaria Ivanova, co-Director of the Center for Governance and Sustainability and Director of the Global Environmental Governance Project, will participate in a panel organized by the Horn of Africa Regional Environment Centre & Network (HoA-REC&N) on  The Climate Resilience Partnership Programme. The event is scheduled for Friday, December 4th at 4-5:30pm, in Salle 1 of the Africa Pavilion.

Other panelists include Dr. Almaz Tadesse of the Social and Ecological Sustainability Partnership Programme, HoA-REC&N; Adane Kebede, Climate Change Programme Coordinator, HoA-REC&N, Ethiopia and; Fitsumbrhan Tsegaye, of the Sustainable Energy Programme. The moderator is Dr. Muawia Shaddad- Chairman, of the Horn of Africa Regional Environment Network.

The Center for Governance and Sustainability and the Horn of Africa Regional Environment Centre & Network have been partners for years. Together they foster collaboration among scholars and students, including through the Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship (IGERT) grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for the new program “Coasts and Communities: Natural and Human Systems in Urbanizing Environments.”
