Climate Action Releases Second Edition of Sustainable Cities
On June 10, 2013, Climate Action released the second edition of Sustainable Cities, a publication detailing innovations and developments in sustainable urban development. The book–produced in partnership with the UNEP Sustainable Buildings and Climate Initiative, World Green Building Council, Local Governments for Sustainability, C40 Cities, and the International Association of Public Transport–aims to further the case for sustainable cities and to publicize cutting-edge projects.
Sustainable Cities contains features written by people in city-level government, architecture, academia, and sustainable design, as well as interviews with leaders in sustainable urban development. This year’s edition incorporates a special focus on European cities in preparation for the UNFCCC’s COP 19 in November 2013 in Warsaw.
