Publication Highlight: Solutions Journal

Solutions, a nonprofit print and online publication devoted to showcasing bold and innovative ideas for solving the world’s integrated ecological, social, and economic problems, is spotlighting an upcoming special issue to be published in anticipation of the upcoming UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20).

The  issue, “The Future We Want,” features an interview with Gus O’Donnell, an economist and former British Cabinet Secretary and Head of the Civil Service. It also offers a compilation of articles by world renowned experts including Van Jones, Bill McKibben, Frankie Moore Lappe, David Orr , Peter Senge, Hunter Lovins, Jigmi Y. Thinley, Royal Government of Bhutan the Prime Minister of Bhutan and Gus Speth. Their contributions describe solutions for reaching a more sustainable and desirable future.

Speth participated in the GEG Project’s Glion Forum and moderated the reunion of all five successive Executive Directors.

About the Author :

Karen is currently a master's degree candidate in the Conflict Resolution program at the University of Massacusetts Boston and is on hiatus from her practice as an attorney in Massachusetts. Her prior career was as a college administrator and as an adjunct faculty member at a college in South Carolina. Karen holds a BA in English from the College of Charleston, a MPA from the University of South Carolina and a JD from Harvard Law School.
