The Civil Society Advisory Group on International Environmental Governance will meet in Nairobi on 18 February 2011, right before the UNEP Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum (GC/GMEF) and the Global Major Groups and Stakeholders Forum (GMGSF).

The Agenda for the upcoming Advisory Group meeting in Nairobi includes the selection of substantive themes for future work of the Advisory Group as the primary channel for civil society input to the political process for reform of international environmental governance (IEG). The Advisory Group aims to identify the topics to which a significant contribution can be made and that civil society has a comparative advantage to work on.

Do you have ideas on approaches and important questions to focus on leading up to the Rio 2012 Conference, that would help inform the process and increase the chances for successful IEG reform? Please share your input to the list of priorities by posting a comment on this website or by e-mailing info@environmentalgovernance.org by February 16.
