Philip Osano, a doctoral candidate at McGill University and GEG Emerging Leader has become regular host with the Kenyan Broadcasting Company television program, “Eco-Show.” The hour-long program discusses relevant environmental issues, including global environmental governance and Kenyan-specific environmental concerns. Prior to his hosting position in September 2009, Osano himself was featured in an hour-long segment on global environmental governance. As host, Osano has conducted four major interviews, including one with John Scanlon, principal adviser to UNEP Executive Director Achim Steiner and GEG Forum participant, two with Dr. Kevin Urama of the Africa Technology Policy Studies/African Society for Ecological Economics, on economic growth and environment in Africa as well as a mid-term review of the Copenhagen Conference, and the latest with Professor Sir Brian Heath of Cambridge University and President of the European Academy of Sciences Advisory Council.
