Conflict Studies and Global Governance Conference: The New Generation of Ideas
31 October – 1 November:
Location: University of Massachusetts Boston
UMass Boston’s biannual Conflict Studies Conference brings together graduate student scholars from universities around the globe. The common theme throughout the presentations is the study of conflict. Though the topic is broad, it is representative of the fact that we encounter conflict across cultures, industries, and ages. In past years, there have been panels on environmental change, gender, and law and society, and more. This year, look for core team members of the Global Environmental Governance Project / Center for Governance and Sustainability and UMass Boston PhD students Natalia Escobar-Pemberthy, Michael Denney, and Gabriela Bueno to present their latest work on environmental governance.
