UMASS Boston Chancellor’s Annual Faculty Seminar on Global Governance

On April 25th, 3-4:30pm, three distinguished University of Massachusetts Boston’s faculty members will discuss their research agendas at the 2012 Chancellor’s Annual Faculty Seminar. The theme of this year’s seminar is governance. Representing the Department of Conflict Resolution, Human Security, and Global Governance, Prof. Maria Ivanova will discuss issues related to global environmental governance and sustainability. Prof. Thomas Ferguson from the Political Science Department will discuss issues of national governance, and Prof. Atreya Chakraborty from the College of Management will discuss corporate governance. The seminar will be held at the Alumni Lounge on the second floor of the Campus Center at the University of Massachusetts Boston. The public is welcome to attend.

About the Author :

Marija Bingulac is a doctoral student in public policy at the University of Massachusetts Boston’s, McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies. She received her BA in political science from University of Massachusetts Boston in 2009, graduating with Excellence in Political Science Award as well as with the Feinstein Award for distinguished work in public policy and social justice classes. Following graduation, she worked in Belgrade, Serbia with the NGO Church World Service on hunger and poverty research projects. Her research agenda centers on Roma inclusion in Serbia, politics of poverty, gender, race and ethnicity.
