Call for Input on International Environmental Governance from Children and Youth Network

Civil society groups around the world have an important opportunity to provide input to the intergovernmental process on International Environmental Governance (IEG). Young people can get involved by reading the call for contributions and sending ideas to Sara Svensson, who will compile all input from Children & Youth and make sure it gets presented to UNEP for consideration.

Sara Svensson is global representative for Children & Youth in the UNEP Major Groups Facilitating Committee, and is convinced that young people have a lot to contribute to the IEG process: “We are visionary, innovative and believe in radical change. Our ability to think out of the box makes a great combination with the insights of people who have been working with the process for decades. Together we have great potential to design the solutions needed for survival and sustainability in the world.” Read the call for contributions, here and submit to Sara Svensson, by 1 June 2010.
